The Rowing Team of Gymnasium Steglitz
The rowing team of Gymnasium Steglitz with about 75 members is one of the largest school rowing teams in Berlin.
With 18 boats in the school’s own boat storage, it is one of the biggest in Berlin and so cherished for many years.
Since 2006/07 boys and girls row together at the Student Rowing Club Wannsee, there is no longer a seperation between the genders.
The yearly attendance at the school regattas in spring and autumn, and a four day rowing field trip in the summer are the highlights of each rowing season.
Problems to find new members do not exist, because there is always a high request. This proves that the rowing club has not lost on popularity during the last 100 years.
